The author offered a substitute to make the bill gender-neutral and not married couples specific. It failed in committee without a vote.
Allows in vitro fertilization exclusively for married heterosexual couples, defining eligibility as “husband and wife,” while excluding unmarried couples, single individuals, and same-sex couples.
