  1. Removes the requirement for OSBI to apply for federal funding to support the Office of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons, created by Ida’s Law in 2021. The office itself will remain in place.

    Context: Ida’s Law required OSBI to seek federal funding, assuming the funds were guaranteed. However, the expected funds were not secured.
