An amendment was adopted simplifying the bill. It more plainly states that in-home childcare centers can obtain a license if they comply with building standards and fire safety guidelines issued by the state Fire Marshall.
Makes sure family and large child care homes in Oklahoma follow the International Fire Code for fire safety. If they meet these rules, they cannot be denied a license to operate. No city or county can make stricter fire safety rules than the International Fire Code.
